Thesis Title:  The effects of nano and micron sized additives on sintering, phase and microstructural evolution of ceramic composites.

Brief Introduction:
Farzin Arianpour received the B.Sc. (2001) and M.Sc. (2004) degrees both in the field of Ceramic Engineering from Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran. Since 2001, he had been in charge of the activities in advanced ceramics and refractory materials as a member of Refractory Research Group (RRG) and Ceramic Synthesis Laboratory at IUST. His research activities were focused on refractory materials and environmental issues of refractories, nano materials and high temperature composites. He also worked on developing new methods for recycling of non ferrous wasted refractories as a part of his M.Sc. thesis. Pursuing research on Ceramic Composites, he started his Ph.D. program in the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in September 2009. Jointly supervised by Professor F. Golestani-Fard and Professor H.R. Rezaie, his Ph.D. thesis aims to evaluate the the effects of nano and micron sized additives on sintering, phase and microstructural evolution of ceramic composites.
